A few years ago I played in a series of PES, because I have a PS3 I wanted to play soccer game with friends, let me say PES is a fun game with amazing graphics and playability. Now it is more realistic, much more difficult to score or make a good transition, which plays than previous versions. You can spend hours playing with their friends offline or online. Everything in this game is good only if you’re trying to be “officially”, then this is not a game you want, and that’s why I gave four stars in general. This may be uncomfortable without real names of players or teams that are not true, with the logo done. If you have any single team in the world with all the official stuff and then go to FIFA, but if you do not mind editing a few names and just have fun, then get PES care and save and get another game [...] it!

Great gameplay, poor social and online features

The game is just as realistic as a piece of software can be. It is the best on the market. The areas it should get better: 

1) Online sucks. Konami needs to found a new division just to handle the online component. The online part of PES2010, from the menus, to match room selection, to the synchronization issues, totally sucks. There is big lag in most matches. The menus are not appealing. You just want to play a game, that is it. Nothing more. 

2) Social features suck. In the age of YouTube, I should be able to upload my goal replays and match replays directly to youtube. When will they get this? 

3) Team names. Chelsea is still London FC.

This game is by far the best PES game in the series. I had FIFA and PES 08 before and the gameplay in PES was much better. And PES 2010 is much better than PES 08. The problem with Konami not having as many licenses as FIFA is easily solved by updating the option file with one you get for free on the internet. Visit [...] and look at option files and you’ll be able to find one with all the right player names, resemblance, team names, the whole sha-bang. After doing that, you’ll have the game with the better game play, and ALL the updated teams, etc. I recommend this game above FIFA to anyone.

Still the great soccer game around

For me Soccer is not about tricks. For that there is a basketball game where you can have fun for hours showing your skills with the ball. Football is a team game. The genius is to find the hole to pass the ball and score the goal, talent is anticipating the move of the opponent. That’s why PES10 is still the best soccer game, gives space to improvise, to astonishment, beating Brazil with the team of Honduras for the slightest difference. In FIFA10, I have, I play without improvising, I know where are the rival players, what they do, the places where it is always a goal. I know when the computer is going to score. Not fun, even playing against a human opponent. My recommendation is to try both games and choose one that fits your particular style and taste.

I think EA is his best version of FIFA again. At least this is definitely the best version of the next generation of consoles. The game is much better and more realistic than previous versions. My only beef with the actual game is that sometimes players are not very intelligent or started early, when in attack, but sometimes players at the end from the defensive position, because it seems to draw on something that I can not understand. In all honesty, although this does not happen very often and may be a little “tactics by the custom. By the way, the ability to adjust tactics and formations (which, to be honest, is available in previous versions), not to this game really fun. 

There are tons of reviews, so I’ll briefly – the gameplay, customization, realism, tons of teams and leagues, and graphics are all great. Only negative, the lack of proper stadiums, some players do not look like themselves (and this was corrected in the sounds of World Cup 10), and the image of the masses could be better, and sometimes have some weird AI stuff. In general, though, probably the best FIFA yet and I’m excited for the 11th FIFA

Who doesn’t like to score goals? I’ve never seen anyone do it on TV and not be pretty happy about it (shirts may or may not come off, everybody’s shouting, its like a miniature Mardi Gras every time). Fifa ’10 brings you as close to the back of the twine as you’ll ever get from your couch. After all, you did just pull a slick spin move on Demichelis leading up to a thru pass that turned Sergio Ramos to stone in order to get there. And you can get the perfect angle for the instant replay to show friends your mad skills. You’ll love this game, just try not to get rug burn doing your celebratory slide.

EA DOMINATES THE GAMING WORLD IN SPORTS GAMES

Just wanted to add my two cents in for once about EA and thier FIFA legacy. I have been an EA fanatic since 1995, bought every sports game they came out with since then, I love the games and there is no doubt that thier sports games are the best on the market hands down. I have become a FIFA fanatic and just think thier games get better and better every year, but what I am hoping is that one day they will go a little further with the crowd celebrations and add some stunning effects especially with the derby games, it would just make it so much more better. I think everyone would agree, but overall the game deserves five stars in my opinion and no doubt in my mind the next one will also.

I tried this game at my friend’s place and was addicted right from the start. The multi-player online mode allows you to play with people from all over the world. There’s a mode which allows you to play head to head with another player. Additionally, there’s a team play mode, where you’re able to play with up to 21 players and you get to choose the position that you’re in. Of cos, fastest fingers first. 

The multi-player online mode of the key features of this game that makes me buy this game. Computer AI are not as flexible and unpredictable as the skills of a real life opponent. It is ,of cos, more challenging to play with a good player who’s sitting in front of his TV playing this game with you. This coupled with the decent graphics and music makes it a must have for people who loves soccer console games.

I bought this because my boyfriend wanted it, and he seems to really like it. Specially the fact that he can play against his friends through the internet.

The Greatest soccer game yet!

For anyone whose played any FIFA game in the past, you can expect this game to provide endless hours of intense fun and competition. There are a few changes, however…all for the best. The players have full 360 degree control, whereas in past FIFA games a player can only move up, down, left, right, and diagonally in each respective direction. The dribbling system for tricks has been improved and works great! 

My only flaw is it seems the computer rarely gets any foul called, yet when I’m playing, I get called on for many more things, even when I reach the ball first. Maybe they did it to speed up the game so it wouldn’t stop so often because of fouls, but it’s very one-sided, almost as if the refs were programmed to favor the CPU. That’s really the only flaw I have. The goalies are a lot smarter, the shooting is simple but not limited, and the pace of the game seems perfect to me. The graphics are really good, and the soundtrack is different but fits the game rather well (minus a few annoying tracks). 

Overall, I give this game a 9/10 simply because of the way the fouls are called to CLEARLY favor the CPU. there’s always room for improvement, but I like FIFA 10 much better than FIFA 09.

FIFA 2010 : Finally, They Got It Right This Time!!….

I’m a huge fan of the FIFA series, but I never enjoyed playing any of the PS3 FIFA games until now. Simply stated, I hated the feel, and the new controller configurations that had been changed once the new system came out. The newer PS3 versions of FIFA just never felt as real, and I always found myself chasing the game / feeling frustrated in the end. The bottom line is that I wasn’t having any fun playing the PS3 FIFA series, I was enjoying myself a lot more playing my FIFA 2007 for the PS2 system. That was until I took a chance on PS3 FIFA 2010. Personally, I think FIFA 2010 is the first, and only FIFA release for the PS3 that isn’t broken… 

All of the issues I was having with FIFA 2008 / 2009 for the PS3, FIFA 2010 has corrected / made major improvements. This is without question the greatest FIFA release to date in my opinion. The gameplay is smooth / fast paced, the players move extremely well, and the graphics are just out of control incredible. What I really enjoyed though is the gameplay, and the physical nature the various players possess. You wont find a more realistic feel to a soccer game than FIFA 2010 in my opinion. I’m happy to say that they finally got it right this time!!!…

These days Soccer fever is caught up in the world, Soccer which is one of the most popular sports on our planet is dependent on one thing without which there wouldnt been a game of soccer and guess what it is, yes you are right it is the Soccer Ball. According to history, early balls ranged from stitched up cloth, pig or cow bladders to human and animal skulls!

Certain ancient Egyptian rites as told by historians have similarities with the present day football, and also both the ancient Romans and Greeks played a game that entailed as carrying and kicking a ball. During the Han Dynasty (255 BC-220 AD), the Chinese played ‘tsu chu’, in which animal-skin balls were dribbled through gaps in a net stretched between the poles.

According to pre-medieval legend, an entire village would kick a skull along a path to a nearby village square. Then the opposing village would in turn attempt to kick the skull to the first village’s square. That would have for sure probably caused more riots than in modern soccer games.

A Medieval custom was to take pig bladders used from live stock which were killed in preparation for winter sustenance and then inflate them. They would play a game using their feet and hands to keep the “ball” in the air. They would cover these animal bladder balls eventually with leather for better shape retention.

Prior to 1836, the year in which Charles Goodyear patented vulcanized rubber, balls were dependant on the size and shape of the pig’s bladder. More irregular the bladder, more unpredictable the behavior of the soccer balls was when kicked. In 1855, Charles Goodyear designed and built in what is called the first vulcanized rubber soccer balls or footballs.

The year when the first Football association namely English Football Association was formed in the year of 1863, it had no laws for the soccer ball. No specific description of the soccer ball was offered in the first set of rules. When the revised rules came up in 1872 it was agreed that the soccer ball “must be spherical with a circumference of 27 to 28 inches” (68.6 cm to 71.1 cm). The same rule remains even in today’s FIFA Laws. After fixing the official weight and size of the soccer balls for the first time in 1872, very little has changed ever so far in 1937 when their was an increase in the official weight from 13-15 oz to 14-16 oz. What has changed drastically over the last few years is that of the material the soccer ball is made of and also its shape panels that make up the design of the ball.

During World War II there were many further production enhancements to the soccer ball. The addition of a carcass made of strong cloths between the bladder and outer cover made controlling the shape much easier than the early types, provided damping, and made the ball stronger than before. It was not until the 1960′s that the very first totally synthetic ball was produced. Synthetics which are used in today’s soccer balls emulate the cell structure and the quality of leather with less water absorption.

The first “official” FIFA world cup soccer ball was the Adidas Telstar which was used in the 1970 world cup at Mexico.

How does one start over after the loss of a loved one? It is a monumental task that just feels overwhelming at times. Similar rebuilding occurs after the death, divorce or separation of a loved one.

First comes the shock of the loss and an almost denial that is has happened, particularly if there was no warning. We have hopes and dreams of the future that include our loved one and suddenly he or she is not there. How will we cope? How can we go on?

But go on we must and we will. Often times our first step is to attempt to regain what we have lost. This is impossible if our loved one has died but that doesn’t stop us from trying. A lot of what we go through in our grieving process is our best attempt to keep that person alive and well in our perception. So, we do things like go over the memories, look through picture albums, talk about our loved one to everyone who will listen, think about him or her every minute and even speak to him or her out loud.

If a loved one has not died, but has chosen to walk out of your life, it can be more challenging. In this instance, you not only have to get over the shock of the loss but also cope with the feelings of rejection.

In our best attempt to get our loved one back, we may engage in all the behaviors someone who has lost their partner to death would. But in addition, we may beg them to take us back, follow our loved one around, try to get our friends to intervene on our behalf, and a host of other maladaptive behaviors.

Everyone grieves at his or her own pace. I am in no way suggesting that this process can or should be rushed. What I am saying is that when a person is ready, he or she can turn the grief into a new hope for the future.

There’s a quote I’ve learned that is very helpful during this phase. Unfortunately, I do not know its source. The quote is: ” Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.” This is a highly evolved place to get and not everyone gets there.

However, if you find yourself in the process of starting over, adopting this particular attitude can be fairly helpful. You would begin by brainstorming all the possible benefits of no longer being in relationship with the person who’s gone. This may seem uncomfortable at first, almost a betrayal of the love you shared, but it is the most healing thing you can do at this point.

You may feel that moving on will, in some way, send the message that you didn’t really love enough. In an attempt to show the world how much you loved your partner, you use the depth of your grieving as the message. And if you are someone who wants to continue grieving, then nothing I have to say will get in your way. You don’t even have to continue reading.

This article is really for those people who are tired of being depressed, who are ready to us start again and who want to actually believe that things can get better.

In 1999, my husband died of leukemia when he was 37 years old, leaving behind our two sons ages 13 and 15. Initially, there was no positive benefit I could see from that event at all. However when I was ready to look for the positives, they did appear.

One of the first positives I saw is that I actually had the opportunity to say goodbye. My husband’s entire family had the opportunity to say the things they wanted to say to bring closure to their relationships with him. Many people do not have that opportunity when loved ones pass.

A second benefit is that when my husband learned he was sick, he stopped working. He didn’t stop because he was too sick. He stopped because there was some research link between his type of leukemia and the chemical benzene — something he worked with at his job.

Prior to his illness, my husband was a workaholic. Once diagnosed, he began to spend lots of quality time with our children. He coached soccer, coached Little League, taught our boys how to work on cars, and spent long hours with them hunting and fishing. This would not have happened had he lived to be a hundred years old with his workaholic behavior.

You too, can find the benefit in the loss of your last relationship. It merely involves putting on the proper lenses that will allow you to see it. Just like in science, there can be no positive without the negative and no negative without the positive. You can’t have protons without neutrons — and you can’t have a devastating event in your life without it also bringing some positive benefits. Healing and moving on requires these lenses.

While you continue to mourn the loss of your relationship, you’re only staying stuck in the past. Let’s return to the quote mentioned above. Instead of mourning the loss of the relationship, focus on how fortunate you were to have that relationship in your life for as long as you did.

There are no guarantees in this life. When a loved one enters our life, there is no surety for how long he or she will stay. They’re not possessions to be owned, but rather our gift to be cherished for as long as we have it.

One of the first steps to take in healing our grief is to reach out to others in our life who love us. When someone we love leaves us, it creates a huge void in our life. Some try to fill this void with drugs or alcohol, but that only results in a temporary reprieve from the pain.

If love is what we lost, then the only thing that will help us to feel better is more love. During this time you may confuse sex with love and go looking for meaningless encounters. However, this again will only postpone the inevitability of the pain of the loss of love.

We must replace love with love. Reach out to friends, family and co-workers — anyone who will fill some of the gap left by your loved one. It’s not the same, it’s not what you are really craving, but it will help heal the pain.

After that temporary reprieve with those who love us, you must start rebuilding your life and your strength. You can go on. You can laugh again. And yes, you can love again. Love has many forms.

You may develop another relationship in time. You may find a cause that you love and believe in. You may “adopt” a neighborhood child. You may find or create work you love. You may get a pet that you can love unconditionally. You may become involved (but not too involved) in the lives of your extended family. Whatever form love takes, it will fill the void that was left by the relationship you lost.

But none of this will truly do the trick unless you learn to love yourself again. How does one accomplish this task? You must take inventory. Make a list of all that you have to offer the world. What are your strengths? What are your interests? What are your talents and abilities? What do you love?

If you’re having difficulty completing your list, ask someone you trust for help. An objective viewpoint can often point out positives of which we are unaware.

And if, after taking this step, you are still unsure of your special talents and skills, then make a list of the person that you want to be. What is it that you would like to be able to offer the world? Describe a person that you admire whom you would strive to become. As long as there’s breath in your body, it is never too late to learn to expand and grow to become the person that you truly want to be.

If you feel as if your life is over, you are truly wasting the gift of life that you have been given. There is only one you. You have something unique inside you to offer the rest of us. Please don’t keep it hidden, lost in your grief

Do not climb in the grave with your loved one. It is not your time. Do not wither and die behind the door your loved one closed on his or her way out of your life. Find someone less fortunate than you, and do something for them without expecting anything in return. You’ll be surprised what that does to elevate your mood.
